Want a quick tip that can bring more light and love into your life?
Maintain Traditions or create new ones.
I was very late to decorate for Fall this year. I guess because my kiddo isn’t so little anymore and life has been busy, it just kept slipping my mind.
But, as I unloaded the Fall boxes today, I was reminded of all the memories and all of the fun times we’ve had over the years. Fairs. Festivals. Trick-or-treating. Fall has always been a favorite of ours.
It’s so easy to move into a new season of life and abandon tradition. No need to decorate anymore. No need to do this or that, we think.
But, what if doing the things you’ve always done will actually bring you joy, even if it’s just for you?
Yes, things change. Kids grow up. People pass on. Some traditions are forced to change. But, sometimes it’s us that changes.
Friend, enjoy your life. Don’t feel as if it’s too late or you are too old. Allow yourself to be bothered by such things, you might be surprised just how fun it can be to do the things you once did.
Carve the pumpkin. Hang the lights. Cut down the tree. Make the nice meal. Recall things you once did and do them again or create new traditions.
I know for me, I was always grateful to go to my parent’s house each season and see everything decorated, even as they became elderly. Boy, do I miss those days…
Keep creating memories.
Share your light and love.
You will be glad you did!
